Yes, we dispatch our drivers to clean the city plow ridges left at the end of your driveway. If you find the city plow ridges are not being cleared in a timely manner, we advise you to email or call us at the office to discuss.
The drivers are on call 24/7 and begin making their rounds for every snowfall of 5cm or more. The timing of service varies, as it is dependant on the duration of snowfall anticipated.
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee an arrival time, as Mother Nature does not run on a schedule, and we do not know when the snow will start! Obviously the later the snow starts, the later we start. Our drivers begin making their rounds once there is an accumulated 5cms on the ground. Depending on the size of the snowfall, we will make anywhere from 1-3 rounds. One round will take up to 6 hours depending on your placement on the route.
For a proper cleaning, we ask that parked cars be moved allowing for full cleaning of driveway. If you expect to have a car on the driveway when we arrive, we recommend that you make sure to place it as close to the top and side of the driveway as possible to allow the driver maximum accessibility, or to move it into the garage or onto the street if possible. If not the driver will at least clear away behind where the car is parked including any snow banks left by the city plow. In general, if your car is parked there during the initial visit (if it is overnight *Please note that our drivers will typically pass by your house twice during a snowstorm. If vehicles are parked on the driveway both times the driver will not be able to complete a full cleaning of your driveway until the subsequent snow storm.
We offer pro-rated refunds at the discretion of management. Reasons for a prorated refund exclude and are not limited to: moving, vehicles in the laneways, comparison’s with other companies (ie. timing), placement on the route, etc.
We accept, cheque, credit card, cash, or email transfer.
Yes, we can blow the snow from your gravel driveway, however you should be aware that some of the gravel on your driveway may get blown onto your lawn. Even though our drivers make every effort to be as careful as possible it is impossible to avoid some gravel displacement until the ground freezes and the stones harden into place.
It is the responsibility of the home owner to make sure that there are no water valves protruding from the driveway. If there are water valve caps protruding, you can contact the City of Ottawa at (613) 580-2400 and request that they send someone by to lower the pipe and cap to the level of the ground.
